Cool Educational Tools: MIT's Sketching Plus Nintendo's Wii Remote Equals More Innovation

I'm not sure if everyone has seen the following two videos. One is from MIT Sketching (or Microsoft's Physics Illustrator) and the other is due to Johnny Lee's idea on creating an interactive white board as well as a 3-D interactive application using Nintendo's WII remote. The two videos below are amazing due to its low cost. Combining these two ideas will greatly enhance interactive education both on- and off-line. This is just one illustration how the internet can be used to create innovative concepts in a short time. In addition, these cool tools will definitely help educating students on various technical subjects. Here is the first video on MIT Sketching or Microsoft's Physics Illustrator for the Tablet PC.

Microsoft Physics Illustrator (free).  With either a PC tablet or Interactive Whiteboard, you can design and animate on paper.

Here is Johnny Lee's presentation at the Ted Conference:

Hopefully, these two videos got your creative juices flowing. For questions on these videos, please contact Professor Santiago at jsantiago@coloradotech.edu
